Professor Bambang Brodjonegoro, Director General, Islamic Research & Training Institute (IRTI) part of the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah visited the Foundation on Monday 19 July 2010.

During his visit Prof Brodjonegoro met Prof Khurshid Ahmad, Chairman of Board of Trustees, other trustees and senior management of the Islamic Foundation and the Markfield Institute. A number of areas for mutual cooperation were identified and discussed.

Prof Brodjonegoro also addressed the students and encouraged them to pursue research in Islamic Economics and Finance, and said that IRTI was keen to support this by providing scholarships and grants.
