“Baseless Insinuation”, says The Islamic Foundation

The Islamic Foundation has issued the following advisory for the media:

We are greatly dismayed that a respectable national newspaper, The Times, has today chosen to publish an alarmist report which is nothing more than sheer insinuation. The article can have the effect of undermining a prestigious and pioneering British Muslim academic institution which is working to promote a two-way understanding between Islam & the West and British Muslims & Britain.

Both the Islamic Foundation and Markfield Institute of Higher Education are transparent and welcoming bodies. Apart from its alarmist nature, the assumptions of The Times lead story are totally baseless and unfounded.
