The 40th annual Board of trustees meeting took place in september 2013 at the mark eld conference centre, and the session was chaired by Professor Khurshid ahmad with the islamic foundation’s uK and overseas’ trustees in attendance.

the chairman re ected on the charity’s forty years of services within the muslim community and he commented on its ongoing commitment to research, dia- logue, education, training, communication, da‘wah activities and the projection of islam.

the trustees also discussed the increased workload and responsibilities of the islamic foundation as well as the multi-dimensional nancial and resource challenges it has faced over the past year. Director General, dr manazir ahsan, shared the dedication of the organisation’s staff in meeting these challenges head-on with dignity and courage, and stressed that the charity would continue working close- ly with well-wishers and partners to ensure the on-going success of the islamic foundation despite the dif culties.

The annual accounts and budget for the forthcoming year were also approved. the meeting was concluded with lunch during which the gathering was addressed briefly by Professor Khurshid ahmad.
