Building Stronger Muslim Families: Addressing Challenges, Creating Solutions
Family is the cornerstone of a healthy society, yet many Muslim families in the UK face unique challenges rooted in cultural, social, and religious complexities. Issues such as marital breakdown, mental health struggles, and the lack of accessible support systems have far-reaching consequences.
Building Stronger Muslim Families Conference (BSMF) is a collaborative effort initiated by the Federation of Muslim Organisations (FMO) and The Islamic Foundation with support from Islamic Relief, iLead, and other key stakeholders. It aims to address the pressing challenges faced by Muslim families in the UK. Through dialogue, collaboration, and faith-sensitive solutions, the conference seeks to strengthen family units and, by extension, the wider community.
BSMF conference will bring together 50 participants, including Muslim leaders, imams, scholars, healthcare professionals, family law practitioners, community activists, and policymakers, to explore these challenges and propose practical, faith-based solutions.
