Conversion to Islam in Prison and Its Aftermath
A one day round table discussion focussing on spirituality. To seek out the spiritual path to truth is often as extensive as it is arduous, as inwardly profound as it is outwardly challenging.
In association with New Muslim Project the study carried out by Cambridge University explores Narratives of Conversion to Islam: Female Perspectives brought together more than forty female Muslim converts to discuss aspects of their conversions to Islam, to reflect on their journeys and experiences and to produce a report to inform Muslims and non-Muslims about the topic.
The first of the 11 city reports to be released, this is the largest and most detailed survey of Muslims in the city of Leicester. The research was based on 200 detailed questionnaires (with Muslims and non-Muslims), 6 focus groups and over 30 interviews with city stakeholders.
A charity established in UK in 1973, dedicated to research, publishing, education, community support and inter-faith dialogue. Set amidst almost 10 Acres in Markfield, it provides a tranquil environment for studying. The site houses a Masjid, an extensive library, a residential conference centre and a bookshop.
