A group of officials from various Federal and State Religious Affairs Ministries of Malaysia visited the Islamic Foundation on Thu 7th Nov 2019.
Deputy Leader and group whip of the Labour group Cllr. Andy Furlong, who represents the local ward of Hinckley and Bosworth visited the Islamic Foundation
We were honoured today to receive David Tredinnick, MP for Bosworth, at our site in Markfield, Leicestershire
British Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Moazzem Malik, visited The Foundation on 18th November. He was welcomed by Dr. Manazir Ahsan, Chairman of The Foundation along with Farooq Murad, Director General. After a brief tour he held a roundtable discussion with the trustees and the staff, exploring ideas with regards to fostering better understanding across faiths and communities.
The Mayflower Club at the Markfield Community Centre arranged a visit on 13th May to introduce the older members of the local community to the work of the Foundation and to address any questions they had about Islam.
The islamic foundation welcomed the freelance writer, peace activist, and muslim convert, sister Lauren Booth.
The Bishop said that he had worked closely with Dr Manazir Ahsan through his involvement in the Multi-Faith Centre based at the University of Derby.
Chief Superintendent Nixon appreciated the work that has been done by both the Foundation and MIHE both the Institute and Foundation at the local Muslim community and national levels.
A charity established in UK in 1973, dedicated to research, publishing, education, community support and inter-faith dialogue. Set amidst almost 10 Acres in Markfield, it provides a tranquil environment for studying. The site houses a Masjid, an extensive library, a residential conference centre and a bookshop.
