Dr Rayes Musthafa, leading paediatrician at The Harley Street Hospital, London, delivered an inspiring summary lecture of his Positive Islamic Parenting

This ground-breaking event set out to provide a platform from which Muslim women could themselves debate problems and seek solutions through narrative ownership that would reflect the concerns and aspirations of Muslim women more fairly and accurately.

The programme was comprised of a two-day intensive orientation seminar and one day research workshop. it was attended by academics, scholars, practitioners and students from the markfield institute and other academic institutions in the uK as well as students from Trisakti university, Jakarta, Indonesia.

The seminar was organised with to promote thoughts and insights on the history/heritage and future legacy of islamic revival in the uK, as well as the wider scene of related islamic activism, in order to consider implications for the islamic foundation, its activities and projects.

Dr Salah Eddin Arkadan explained why it was important for human civilisation to look at history to be able to plan our future development.
